Bit of a fabric taster

Well it's almost time to knock off for the day. But before I do, I am so excited about the fabrics that have been coming in for sewbox.co.uk that I just have to share them with you!!

Before I do, I want to say a HUGE thank you to Gwen over at Celticfusion Fabrics - she has been an absolute star and has gone out of her way to help me get started, given me lots and lots of advice, ever so much encouragement and helped me believe I really can do this! Some of the cotton fabrics for the all-in-one kits I'll be selling, have come from Gwen. Gwen, thank you for being so fabulous, you're a real star and I truly feel I have made a wonderful new friend!

Introducing sewbox.co.uk....

Hello everyone, this is my first post so I thought I would introduce sewbox.co.uk and tell you a little bit of what it's about!

Sewbox.co.uk will be an online sewing boutique offering carefully selected modern, stylish sewing patterns and beautiful fabrics, available individually or in convenient all-in-one sewing kits containing everything else you need to make up a particular pattern such as matching threads, linings, and interfacings.

We aim to make shopping for your sewing supplies a fun and enjoyable experience, and by offering everything you'll need in one place, you'll have more time to concentrate on the sewing - and you'll have more time to show off your creation to friends! Just place your order, sit back and begin to plan when and where you’re going to wear your gorgeous new outfit.

We plan to launch on August 31 2009 - AARGH! There is still SO much to do before then, I am very busy choosing patterns and fabrics, and I need to spend lots of time sewing up items for the kit photography. Not to mention building the website. I will try to update this blog when I can so watch this space.

And a bit of a request for help if I may!! - What are your favourite sewing patterns? Do you have any fabrics you absolutely ADORE? Please feel free to drop me a line if you have any particular product requests, want to suggest particular patterns or fabrics, or if you just want to say hi!
